The deadline for filing this year’s tax return for individuals is approaching (note).  Penalty may be imposed for late filing.

If you have not registered an eTAX Account before, you simply need to go to the webpage of GovHK (www.gov.hk/en/residents/taxes/etax/) and choose “Open eTAX Account OR Complete eTAX Account Registration Process”.  Then, press the “Apply for eTAX Password” button, and input your “Hong Kong Identity Card Number” and “Taxpayer Identification Number” (printed on the front page of your paper return or notice of assessment).  We will send the access code to you by post within 2 working days.
